As the Director of Marketing & Media Services at SUNY Ulster for over ten years, Deborah oversees the strategy, creative direction, and implementation of the college’s marketing and media outreach including publications, print, digital and outdoor advertising, social media, websites, and public relations. Prior to her work at SUNY Ulster, Deborah worked as a contract marketing and public relations professional for a variety of clients such as Saatchi & Saatchi in NYC, Smith and Jones in Troy NY, Dooney & Bourke, and TechTarget.com.
Deborah holds a Master’s Degree in Higher Education Administration from Stony Brook University and a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree from the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford.
Dennis Kennedy has a background in strategic planning and execution of marketing and media campaigns, special events, and legislative and grassroots advocacy efforts, fundraising initiatives, and volunteer activities.
Since 2010, Dennis has served as the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing at Hudson Valley Community College. He oversees brand and enrollment marketing for the college, which serves 11,250 students and offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in four schools.
Prior to Hudson Valley, he held higher education marketing positions at the Commission on Independent Colleges and Universities, which represents the public policy interests of New York’s 100+ private colleges, and also at the University at Albany. Earlier in his career, he assisted with promotions and advertising for the Saratoga Race Course and in fundraising for the Police Athletic League’s Capital Holiday Lights in the Park.
An Albany native, Dennis is an alum of Hudson Valley Community College, Marist College and the University at Albany. He has served on the boards of the Capital Region Chapter of the American Marketing Association and Albany Ad Club.
As the Assistant Director of the SUNY Adirondack Foundation, Jill Vogel works closely with scholarship and endowment management, donor stewardship, alumni affinity groups, and special events. For the last six years, Jill has co-chaired the SUNY Community College Chief Advancement Officer Retreat and secured four District II Venture Capital Grants for the program. The retreat targets development officers, foundation board members and college presidents in a two-day conversation about fundraising, board management, alumni relations, planned giving, scholarship programs, and the important relationship between the CAO, CIO, volunteer board members and their partnership with the community.
Prior to working at SUNY Adirondack, Jill worked in college admissions at the University at Albany where she earned her Master’s Degree in Education Administration for Higher Education.
As the Director of Advancement Services and Donor Relations, Ben oversees advancement communications, stewardship events, and impact messages related to philanthropy that reinforce the importance of charitable giving at SUNY Oneonta. Additionally, Ben supervises the advancement services operations which includes charitable gift processing and daily maintenance of the institution’s alumni and donor database.
Ben is a graduate of SUNY Oneonta and has spent over 10 years working in higher education.
