Leadership Annual Giving Officer – Stony Brook University

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):
Bachelor’s degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Two (2) years of full-time experience in fundraising, sales, events, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in fundraising in higher education, large non-profit, or complex healthcare institutions. Contact management software experience. Proficiency in working with Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace.

Brief Description of Duties:
The Leadership Annual Gift Officer will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward leadership annual giving donors, specifically targeting donors capable of multi-year, unrestricted pledge commitments. The incumbent will manage a dynamic portfolio and will assist in efforts to renew and solicit increased annual gifts from alumni. This position works collaboratively with colleagues across the University to achieve fundraising priorities. The position may also involve managing volunteer boards composed of alumni, parents, and friends whose aim is to increase leadership annual giving. The incumbent must have experience managing multiple priorities and/or a portfolio of donor/client relationships.
