Summary and Purpose of Position:
The Assistant Director of Development is responsible for working with Monroe Community College’s internal and external constituencies as part of a coordinated development effort to raise both unrestricted and restricted revenue. This position has been created as a result of a strategic initiative to grow scholarships and academic endowment; hence there will be a strong emphasis on raising funds to support these efforts. The successful candidate will engage in prospect research, prepare and deliver fundraising proposals, make personal prospect visits alone or with staff or volunteers, and build and maintain relationships with internal and external colleagues, benefactors, and board members. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Development, the Assistant Director of Development will play a key role in the Foundation’s development efforts and will join a dynamic team that works to enhance private philanthropic support for MCC.
