The Office of Alumni Engagement (OAE) partners with the Binghamton University Alumni Association (BUAA) to generate pride and inspiration for engagement among our alumni and students. We connect alumni to the University and to each other, provide valued services, and support the University’s mission through communications and programs designed to support career, admissions, lifelong learning and meaningful relationships. In May of 2020 the OAE and the BUAA adopted a new five-year strategic plan which has outlined the following focal points as priorities; Professional and Social Engagement Opportunities, Mentoring Opportunities, Career Development for Students and Alumni, Admission Efforts to Recruit the Best Future Alumni, Virtual Educational Opportunities and Lifelong Learning. This new strategic plan went into effect on July 1, 2020 and will guide our work over the next several years.
The Project Staff Assistant candidate will be responsible for increasing, improving and initiating meaningful experiences that inspire our alumni, valued by our institution, through programs, events, experiences and communications as described in the strategic plan. Collaboration with campus partners, volunteers, and stakeholders will be critical in developing and analyzing new and existing strategies in alumni engagement. Consistent communication and follow up will be necessary to manage progress and implement changes.
