23 Oct New Paltz, Potsdam, Dutchess Earn CASE Fundraising Awards
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) honored SUNY New Paltz, SUNY Potsdam and Dutchess Community College with 2019 Educational Fundraising awards recently.
Potsdam, ranked first in its SUNY peer group for total alumni giving and dollars raised per student, earned an award for overall performance. Dutchess earned an award for overall improvement by showing significant growth in alumni donors, meaningful impact of large gifts and more. New Paltz, which raised the most money in its history last year, is one of just five colleges that earned awards for both overall performance and overall improvement. Each school was a first-time winner in its respective category or categories.
“These institutions have not only demonstrated the highest levels of professionalism and best practice in their fundraising efforts, they have contributed to the betterment of educational advancement worldwide by serving as a model to which others can aspire,” said Sue Cunningham, CASE president and CEO.
The Educational Fundraising awards recognize development programs based on a blind review of data. Approximately 100 colleges across the country were recognized by CASE this year.
CASE is a global association for professionals in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and advancement services who share the goal of championing education to transform lives and society. Member institutions include more than 3,700 colleges and universities, primary and secondary independent and international schools, and nonprofit organizations in 82 countries.
