News: A Message from the SUNYCUAD President

Dear Colleagues:

Summer is here, vacations are in full swing, and we’ve just wrapped up another successful SUNYCUAD Educational Conference.

I want to again congratulate and thank the Cooperstown conference committee — Brian Rudolph, Ben Wendrow, Rhea Chase, Daryl Geddes, Nancy Prott and Jennifer Wilson — as well as everyone else who helped make our 2016 conference at the Otesaga Resort such a big hit.

Well, June 2017 may seem like a long way off, but we’re already planning for next year’s conference in Tarrytown, N.Y. Cooperstown will be a tough act to follow but I have no doubt with your help and good suggestions the 2017 conference will be another homerun.

I would also like to thank outgoing president Dan Doyle for his service to SUNYCUAD over the past two years. I am truly honored and excited to serve this amazing organization. A lot of that has to do with the great position Dan has led SUNYCUAD to.  He’d be the first to redirect any praise and credit to others but a great deal of what this organization has accomplished, and is poised to accomplish in the future, is due to Dan’s tireless efforts.

As we look toward the upcoming year, one of our primary goals will be to consider additional ways we can better serve our membership. There has been an ongoing conversation on that topic among the board members; however, we really want and need your feedback on how SUNYCUAD can better serve you. Please contact me at tituss@sunyocc.edu or 315- 498-2392 with your ideas, thoughts and recommendations.

Safe summer travels to everyone and best wishes for a successful kick-off to the fall semester!
