SUNY Cortland seeks positive, motivated, driven, strategy-oriented person to serve as the Associate Director of Alumni Engagement.

This associate director will supervise the alumni engagement programmatic staff, implementing strategies and metrics to meet the SUNY Cortland Alumni Association’s goal of developing lifelong relationships with 78,000 alumni to advance the College and its mission. The associate director of alumni engagement will work with a positive, motivated team to ensure programs and events are engaging a wide variety of constituencies. The associate director will create and manage a volunteer engagement program that encourages alumni to support the SUNY Cortland.

Qualifications:

Excellent written and oral communication skills are a must. Required qualifications also include a bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years of experience in alumni engagement and fundraising or a related field; supervisory experience; event planning and implementation; volunteer management; development of marketing or communications plans and the availability to work nights and weekends

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in alumni engagement; experience working with a board of directors; experienced in developing metrics and assessment tools and with experience with budget development and management.
