The Nominating Committee of the SUNY Council for University Advancement (SUNYCUAD) is issuing a call for nominations to the SUNYCUAD Board of Directors.
The board consists of 19-25 individuals who represent the diverse interests of the advancement profession within SUNY. We are seeking a variety of perspectives – different campuses, sectors (community colleges, state-operated campuses, technical colleges, and university centers), and geographic diversity. The board also consists of individuals at all career stages within SUNY – from newcomers to mid-career to seasoned pros. More information on the current Board of Directors is on the SUNYCUAD website at: http://www.sunycuad.org/about_us/board_of_directors.
The time commitment is to attend four board meetings a year held at locations throughout the state, the annual Educational Conference, and a board retreat held each summer. Board members serve a three-year term and are eligible to serve two terms, with the terms beginning in June. Members work in a variety of capacities – such as serving on conference committees, organizing a workshop, serving as a judge for the Awards for Excellence program, assisting with social media outreach or working closely with SUNY on advocacy initiatives. The board elects its officers each year, which is an opportunity to serve in a leadership role on a statewide level.
Board members must represent SUNYCUAD member institutions. For more information on membership, check out http://membership.sunycuad.org/.
To submit a nomination for yourself or a colleague, please send an email with name, title, campus and resume/bio to: Nominating Committee Chair Dan Doyle, University at Albany at firstname.lastname@example.org. Nominations are due no later than Wednesday, March 1.
